Describe the outside operation
State whether the outside needs no access, a pull only, keyed operation or an interface with another access arrangement. Separate the appearance of a lever or pull from the way it controls entry. Ask the supplier to confirm the offered function in plain language.
Match the trim to the device
Identify the exact exit device reference and door configuration. Provide cylinder, spindle, tailpiece and preparation information where applicable. Do not assume that outside trim from a different device series is compatible because the visible handle looks similar.
Check the complete project scope
Include door thickness, handing and installation drawings. Confirm which components are included in each set and what documents the project requires. Hardware selection for an exit opening remains a complete-opening review rather than a cosmetic trim substitution.
